Rafael Colonhese

Rafael de Oliveira Colonhese was born on June 27, 1991 in Apucarana a municipality in the state of Paraná, Brazil. At the age of 15 Colonhese joined his first jiu jitsu class, a sport that quickly became his life’s passion. Training in one of Paraná’s most well respected teams (Magoo Jiu Jitsu), under the tutelage of instructor Vinícius Canevari, Rafael developed into one of his state’s top athletes by conquering medals in important tournaments such as the IBJJF / CBJJ South American Championship, Brazilian Nationals and even the European Open. His many accomplishments on the mats led to Rafael’s black belt promotion on December 2013 from professor Vinícius Canevari - the man who graded Colonhese from white to black. On February 2018 Colonhese moved to London, having since then joined the FightZone London family as one of our coaches.
